Milano é da sempre grande promotrice di arte e di cultura, tuttavia nell’ultimo periodo questo settore ha sofferto molto per la crisi legata dalla pandemia.
Noi di Milano Fuoriclasse abbiamo quindi deciso di dare il nostro sostegno dedicando una delle nostre rubriche ai teatri milanesi.
Come tutti sappiamo, il Teatro alla Scala è uno dei più famosi in tutto il mondo. 🌎
📜 Un po’ di storia: Il Teatro alla Scala nacque dalle ceneri del Teatro Regio di Villa Reale, distrutto da un incendio il 23 febbraio del 1776, e dalle macerie della chiesa pericolante di Santa Maria della Scala da cui prese il nome. E’ il primo teatro neoclassico costruito in Europa e fu realizzato per decreto di Maria Teresa d’Austria. Nel 1778 l’architetto Giuseppe Piermarini portò a termine il teatro, che fu inaugurato il 3 agosto con un’opera di Antonio Salieri, “L’Europa riconosciuta”.
🧐 Curiosità: i palchetti all’interno del teatro appartenevano a singole famiglie che potevano addobbarlo a proprio piacimento. Ad esempio, il palchetto n.13 è interamente tappezzato di specchi, disposti con perizia, in modo da poter osservare ogni angolo del teatro e “spiare” le mosse di tutti, non si sa a che famiglia appartenesse ma era sicuramente una famiglia molto curiosa!

Milan has always been a great promoter of art and culture, however in the last period this sector has suffered a lot because of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Our team of Milano Fuoriclasse has decided to give our support devoting one of our columns to Milanese theaters. 🌎
📜A bit of history: The Teatro alla Scala was born from the ashes of the Regio Theater of Villa Reale, destroyed by a fire on the 23th February 1776, and from the ruins of the crumbling church of Santa Maria della Scala from which it took its name. It is the first neoclassical theater built in Europe, and it was built by decree of Maria Teresa of Austria. In 1778 the architect Giuseppe Piermarini brought off the theater, which was inaugurated on August 3 with a play by Antonio Salieri, “L’Europa riconosciuta”.
🧐 Curiosity: individual families owned the balconies in the theater and could decorate them as they pleased. For example, balcony 13 is entirely covered with mirrors, arranged with skill, so that you can observe every corner of the theater and “spy” everyone’s moves, it is not known to which family it belonged but it was certainly a very curious family!
